I already got to celebrate a Super Bowl win and I'm looking forward to a Stanley Cup win too!! yay!

It's definitely different being back in Buffalo. Without a car or a bedroom of my own. I don't know why people live with their parents. Mine seem to live to tell me what to do. I miss Jackie!! It's so different-- like yesterday i was in the middle of an On Demand Movie when the sabres game started and i HAD to switch rooms because my dad can only watch the game on the television i was using. not a big deal but any one of my peers would have just watched it somewhere else so not to bother me... its just little things like that

and its so weird that i just cant walk across the street to pick up lunch. i have to make it myself :/. i cant walk anywhere useful- well to WEGMANS (which is much better than geagle)

remind me to get an internship somewhere (boston?/pittsburgh?) next summer.

wow i really dont feel like unpacking. at the beginning of the school year i was pretty sad that all of my belongings could fit into a closet and a van. Now i wish i had less stuff. i have yet to see all of my friends from buffalo who ive missed!!! btw i need relay race forms and to go to RIT tomorrow ;).

On Friday a good number of people from our floor went and had dinner. We managed to pile eight people into evans car- luckly it was a short drive. After tip the bill was $430.. wow! Afterwards again a good portion of the floor went to Sig Ep to keep celebrating the end of the year. I ended up telling everyone who would listen how much i already missed jackie. i also missed nate, wanted to watch good will hunting, wanted to spoon with jackie, needed to pack, couldn't find my jacket, and talked to lisa on the phone till about 4 in the morning.

I'm gunna miss Pittsburgh like crazy but I'll be glad to be home where everything is calm. I'm gunna make it to all my sis basketball games and all my bro's baseball games. I'm gunna tan everyday and read the DaVinci Code before the movie comes out. Until camp starts at the end of june im gunna take it easy and love it!

Jackie and I were looking back at the year and decided that we've both changed so much. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the year to be over... although right now I wish I were at home watching tv on the couch instead of studying for my anaylsis test. I think I really appreciate being at home now that being at home means no school work. 36 hours from now I will be in Erie PA watching my sister play bball.

I'm kinda nervous about the Analysis test. I figured it was my least stressful test (since its the only subject i most definitely can not get an A in) but I feel like I'm supposed to do extrodinarily well now that i'm accepted into math studies. Definitely need a smaller load next semester (as opposed to 54.5 units-- is that how many i have??) so i can focus on my studies.

the DS show seemed to go well both nights!! I had so much fun- thanks to everyone for going! My choreographers are wonderful and everyone i danced with is too <3

last night jackie hung around as a i packed up and we headed back towards the dorms. i stopped to attempt to convince jonah and brian to go to the afterparty and grabbed some dinner with brian. i met up with victoria and seena from my salsa number and stopped to get laura on the way to the after party.

at the after party victoria and i asked if we could dance on the bar... and it was ok!! wow that was so much fun. we had cheryl and stan and kelly and soo many others up on the bar- what a great time. so many people from ds were there and kap sig too hahahah. tho more ppl from my floor should have showed. but i still spent the night dancing with victoria, cheryl, greg, and others from my dances. i had heard boomerangs was gunna be a good time bc everyone actually could dance, and it was true! kelly even pulled me up from sitting (no sitting allowed ;) ) and everytime i went to take a break esther wanted me back on the bar.

i recieved an awesome text about boys being horney mf's looking to get action (which greg replied to) and recieved 1 million gold star.

i thought i would be dissapointed not having my family around after the show... but this was the most fun ive had in a while.

wow what a stressfull week...
Right now I am in Analysis (an advanced calculus sequence) and next year the Advanced program is called "Math Studies". I emailed the advisor to let him know I was interested in Math Studies... and he said they were waiting to see how I did on the last Analysis test before deciding if I could do Math Studies.
I talked to my advisor Mackey about it (who is TOTALLY amazing by the way)he told me not to worry about it...and that if it came down to it he would get me in because he is "very persuasive"
Anyways... in the end... i got an A on my analysis test!! (first A ever in that class for me) after about seven hours of studing the night before. And now math studies is in my schedule!

Over the weekend i got myself into a crazily awkward situation... without going into much detail... but it seems like everything is normal again., and i have both my flip flops so its all good.

Last night was the first DS show. WOW i loved it!!! ive loved learning all of my dances and they all turned out so well. The salsa dance im in is by far my favorite. It reminds me soo much of something i would have learned at DDD. Dont worry.. for all of you not in pittsburgh i will have the dvd by the time i return to buffalo. and for everyone in pittsburgh..

Wow im really behind... i needed to do my spanish paper like yesterday... but im so tired from the week.
I needed to do really well on my math test on friday- and i think i did! i hope i did- i studied for like 7 hours thursday night
and tonight i think im gunna head over to SAE. i cant believe i have just a couple more weekends here!

Just a reminder.. the DS recital is next week friday and saturday... you will want to see it!

Wow I can not wait for school to end. Just like every April/May since freshman year in high school I can tell my grades are slowly falling. But since I no longer need a winter coat I obviously need to carry around a spring purse--- which means no bookbag and no books!! yay! hahah hopefully I'll be motivated after having spring carnival off.

I havent been getting enough sleep either- so today i slept from 2am to 6pm. I only woke up because my mom called. one day this week i couldnt wake up because i was dreaming that i was solving for a current in an electric field. i kept pushing my snooze button so i could have more time to find the current in my dream. this is only slightly less scarier than the time i woke up and thought i was a number

ooo and NUMB3RS has been AMAZING lately. start watching it again! 10pm friday nights!

Day Light Savings

The best way to beat day-light savings is obviously not to sleep at all!

So last night I found myself back in Hamerschlag (movieing). I felt like I was back in first semester- when I didn't have any jobs, had a much smaller course load, would watch movies during the week just bc i could, and was just less stressed in general.

I forgot how different things are over there... it was almost like I was back home and it felt like i had seen the guys all the time since november rather than rarely.

When i left it was 7am and it was beautiful outside. It was one of those mornings that i would find my mom sitting outside in her white nightgown smoking on the front porch, and even tho i hate the smell of smoke and it would be a little too chilly for me i would still go and sit too. Ive only been back for two weeks but im begining to miss home. There are only three weeks of tutoring training left, im hoping that once its over ill be able to stop and breathe before finals are here.

I often cant believe how much things have changed since the begining of the school year, besides the overwhelming amount of work everything is amazing right now, but it was great to remember how much i loved last semester.

recently i found out that my grandpa (who i thought was the nicest, most caring, etc) had an affair a few years ago. It was with my grandmas close friend and their neighbor. My grandpa is now spending a lot of time with her-- he has been since november, even tho my grandma just passed away in august.

im really upset about it-- bc even the greatest guy can mess up and be unfaithfull. i really dont have much hope anymore.

Ill be leaving for pittsburgh in approx 12 hours. I had a wonderful christmas vacation. I watched tons of movies had a ton of time with my friends and family and im just really content with mostly everything right now.

haha just remembered:
SARAH APPLIN: kathleen and melissa have been facebooked married for a REALLY LONG TIME. we need something to break them up. Emily! you're good at breaking up relationships!

so basically right now i love being at home and i love being in pittsburgh and im ready for all the work next semester will throw at me (i really should be working -- a real job -- 3 days a week and i have 24 HOURS of classes each week!!!)

and today was nice bc i spent a while talking to Mrs. West and shes like once of the nicest ppl i know! and i got to visit all my friends before i return to CMU and the girls bbaall team finally won

so i thought it would be very relaxing to be home for a month with no work, but its not.

ive been having a great time! i see my friends sooo often and ive been to the bball games even tho my sis isnt playing in them and worked the concession stand and had some time with my family

but i still think of nate constantly. even tho he sent me an email telling me he hates me. im finally realizing that i cant keep my exbfs as friends... but bobby has been my best guy friend for a while and i would really hate to see that change

i need to have a huge breakdown or at least long cry to get it out of my system. i hardly ever cry anymore, its nice

I leave pittsburgh in 5 days to go back to buffalo! im going to miss everyone here terribley... but im looking forward to relaxing / watching tv again / going to bball games / working the consesion stand at the bball games!!

i suck at studying.. i dont know how to! i almost never had to study in highschool. just for social studies--- and im not in any history classes!!

so im working sunday - thursday this week so ill at least be a lil productive

btw the dancers symposium recital went well this weekend-- i loved the dances!! with only minor problems with my fouetteres (perhaps thats how its spelled? w/e my "turns") and i now have flowers! yay!! but now my toe hurts bc i hit a wall when i was practicing :/

This Weekend

It was a long week. And next week will probably be even more difficult based on the fact that the contribution paper is due Friday. So i relaxed this weekend and didnt do too much work (but now i only have 5 hours before i have to go to real work)

BTW i was amazing at work the other night... we played a game and you had to get at least 20 contacts and 3 credit cards and then the person with the highest $ amount increase got to leave at 9 but still be paid till 930 (yay!)

and i think if i get 8 more credit cards this week i get an extra 2? hours of pay-- what a nice system!

anyways last night was great
i went to an "80s" party
apparently bright colors + tights + short skirt + side ponytail = 80s

but i realized i dont like 80 music much, but since like 10 ppl from my floor were there it was a good time! i love hanging out with my floor... bc i really havent much at all. and i got an opportunity to wear the skirt i bought last time i was in buffalo!

Things have gotten better- actually the past month or so has flown by. Probably because I work two days a week, but Im considering working 3 days next week.

That reminds me... next week friday and saturday is my dance recital!! 8:00pm Rangos, Tickets are $5 presale!! my dance is in the first half of the first act

Today was especially good bc i got my homework due tomorrow done then i got my homework due Wednesday done and i only have three math problems left from my math assignment due friday.

And today jackie and i had a nice boyless dinner!! i believe its the first time weve ate together since orientation-- we are going to have a fun last 3 weeks of the semester.

Except since the semester is ending that means i have a contribution paper due soon (ah!!) im worried about it already... i gotta pull off at the least a B-

And i only have 12 homework assignments FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTER. How fricken exciting!!! yay!

well ive had an interesting past few weeks... heres most of the story:

When Nate + I started hangingout he had a g/f whom he broke up with to go out with me. She came from Germany the other week bc she already had tickets to visit him... and i go over to get something from Nate to find him with a hickey on his neck.

From there we broke up, hes now dating her again, and we are no longer even friends.

so im just hanging in there counting the days till i will be back in buffalo--
haha that reminds me... i went to buffalo this past weekend and was so glad to be away from CMU and Nate and i get to my sisters volleyball game and who is the announcer.. mike west (its like omg get me away from all these boys!)

but i will be back for thanksgiving break 2 weeks from now

so yeah all of my friends have really been great and have cheered me up tons... esp lisa and bobby (thanks guys!)

so leave me some nice messages... i could really use them this week (i have resist waiting to see nate after my CSW class and go right to Comp Programming and its NO fun)

So much has been going on lately-- i havent had time for much at all.

My birthday was so much fun. Im so glad i got to go back to buffalo (im going home again 11/04)

Since then ive spent most of my time in nates dorm doing homework. I get an insane amount of work here. Its probably over 4 hours a night

and now im dancing !!!!! in Dancer's Symposium on thursdays
and playing IM tennis whenever i can -- i one my first ever singles match the other week: 8-4
And today is my first day at work (im a telemarketer)

but overall things have been great.

so tonight i only have math homework and only 4 problems but it will probably take me all night :/

Being in Buffalo was great. I had really missed my friend and we had lots of airplane time... and i had missed my waterbed and puppy too!! as well as my family (although no family games were played :/)

Since then ive just been doing lots of homework, spending lots of time with nate ---if you check my facebook... we are 'in a relationship' ;) --- and yeah sleeping and relaxing little (on tuesday night i stayed up till 530AM to finish my homework yay!)

i had my job trainging (which went well-- being a telemarketer is easy) and first dance class-- the dance, students, and teacher all seem great

ellie was nominated for homecoming lady (with jesse being nominated for homecoming lord)

i have fun plans for the weekend

I now know what a waterfall party is...
went to a party at the frats where there were pipes in the ceiling at the sides of the room that poured down water onto the dance floor. I dance behind the water and it would have been so cool except i apparently can NOT dance in wet flipflops. I never would have expected CMU to have this many dance parties (and so many offcampus parties)

So yeah I told my sister about how i had met some guy here who i was hanging out with a lot. She told my mom. And now i have my grandpa and bobby asking me about nate... is there nothing interesting in buffalo?!! of course my situation is very interesting

and it keeps getting more and more interesting by the day-- good thing i have friends to make me feel better about my self, to comfort me, to support me in my decision, to relate to my older boy delemma, and to laugh with me.

I miss all my friends back in buffalo. Here I have no one to go to when I get myself into a stupid situation. I can't believe it's going to be almost a whole month before I come back home. And i just realized the other day that Stephie won't be there for my/sarah's birthday!

I locked myself out of my room for the first two times the other day. The skirt I was wearing didnt have pockets so I forgot to grab my ID and jackie was out to dinner. Luckily, by the time I realized I didnt have my ID she was on her way back to the dorm. And the second time she was in the room so it was ok.

So I've been doing about 4 hours of homework every night. And i applied for a job-- but all the positions were filled. I'm still not ready for school to start-- I need to set up a rutine.

Even though i stayed up till 2:30 last night to finish my homework-- i am very happy today

because i figured out how to print all by myself
i organized my room
classes went well
i got chai tea
and my sickness is going away.

MY ENLGISH TEACHER TALKED ABOUT JUXTAPOSITION
AND DID THE HANDCLAPPING SIGN (but was just talking about how different themes blend together)
